Meet Our New Pastor!
Mark is a native of Illinois, and has lived in many states over the years, including Illinois, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Michigan. He holds degrees in theology, including a Master of Arts, a Master of Divinity, and a Master of Sacred Theology. In addition to his theological training, Mark holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Michigan State University Detroit College of Law.
For a decade, Mark served in several pastoral roles as both an assistant and senior pastor. God then led Mark to pursue a legal career, and for the last twenty-one years he has served as a civil defense litigator and partner at a South Carolina law firm. During his legal career, Mark remained active in local church and missions ministries. For several years, Mark has served on the board of directors of HBI Global Partners, an organization supporting church planting and many other ministries across the country of India.
Mark’s hobbies include long-distance running, playing the guitar, and traveling. He even completed a Half Ironman in 2022 - 70.3 miles of swimming, biking, and running.
Mark and his wife, Tena (pronounced Tina) have been married for forty-two years. Tena is outgoing and loves people. She has always been an integral part of Mark’s ministry efforts. She also engages in her own ministries and enjoys music, ministry with women & children, and just having fun with people. Mark and Tena have two grown daughters and one grandson.
Mark and Tena always knew God would one day lead Mark back to full-time pastoral ministry. They are excited about ministering at Narberth Presbyterian Church with an emphasis on loving all people into a living relationship with Jesus Christ and teaching and living the Word of God. It is Mark's prayer that through relying of the Spirit of God, lifting up the Lord Jesus, and preaching the Word, God will lead Narberth Presbyterian Church into a season of revival and growth.
